There’s no way that men competing in women’s sports is an 80/20 issue

The issue of men being allowed to play in women’s sports has dominated the headlines over the years. This puzzling progression of what has become acceptable in the world was thrown into the spotlight when Lia Thomas, a biological male, turned transgender woman, competed in and won the NCAA Division I 500-yard freestyle championship. The picture of Lia Thomas towering over the female athletes she beat was a visual that caused people to question how this was ever allowed to happen.
Since the Lia Thomas scam, men playing in women’s sports has spread rapidly across America. For some strange reason, certain people now think it is OK for a biological male to compete against a woman in sports.
Believe it or not, this issue has even infiltrated New Hampshire. Yes, you read that right. In 2024, in the beautiful town of Bow, New Hampshire, two parents were banned from school property for wearing pink armbands in protest of a transgender girl playing against their daughter’s soccer team. Fortunately, a federal judge applied common sense and the parents were allowed to return to the field to watch their daughter play soccer, but were not allowed to participate in protests. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop a biological male from competing against an all women’s team.
Recent stories have indicated that men playing in women’s sports is an 80/20 issue, meaning 80% of Americans believe that biological males should not compete against women in sports and 20% actually support it. My question is, who are all of these people in the 20%? I find it very hard to believe that 20% of Americans think this makes sense.
Interestingly, a 2025 survey conducted by the New York Times found that 79% of those surveyed responded that men should not compete in women’s sports. I suppose that’s close enough to classify this as an 80/20 issue, however, I still struggle to believe that 20% of Americans think men should be allowed in women’s sports. I can tell you with confidence that I have yet to meet one single person who believes this is OK.
That was until March 3rd, 2025 when 45 Democrat Senators voted against the Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act, which would have barred biological males from competing in women’s sports. You read that right. Every single Democrat Senator opposed the bill. To say it is hard to comprehend would be an understatement.
For some strange reason, Democrats are not budging on this issue. They feel so strongly about it, they are willing to defy the beliefs of the overwhelmingly majority of Americans who recognize and understand this concept is completely outrageous, unfair and downright appalling. And they are supposed to represent the will of the people they serve.
This issue has also spawned other extremely concerning trends, like allowing biological men to use a women’s bathroom and men being allowed in women’s locker rooms. It’s extremely concerning and outright reprehensible.
In full disclosure, as a father of three daughters, I may be a tad biased. I’ve watched one of my daughters excel at sports and work tirelessly to be the best she can possibly be. She works out five days a week. She eats healthy. She works with a professional trainer three days a week. She’s a student of the sport and every single year she has improved her skills and results. I can tell you for certain, if a man showed up to compete against her, we would get in the car, go home and make it publicly known why we left.
We all need to pay very close attention to these extreme and absurd beliefs that are infiltrating the minds of Americans. The fact that this is even an issue being debated should be cause for serious concern. How was this allowed to happen in the first place? Whose outrageous idea was this? And how can any mentally stable, halfway intelligent person think this is acceptable?
On a positive note, it is now safe to speak out against this nonsense, without fear of being cancelled or shunned. The American people have spoken loud and clear. These extreme views are destroying the fabric of our country and poisoning the minds of our children. It’s up to every one of us to stand up and speak out against one of the most absurd and concerning ideas we have witnessed in our lifetime.
